Authors

  1. I write science fiction, which is another way of saying I'm a total geek who spends far too much time scribbling about things that are impossible. I won the 'Matthew Cross Writing Contest' twice, and Matthew has featured my short stories on his website. I've also been included in an anthology released by an indie publisher to raise money for the Dyspraxia Foundation.

  2. Gabrielle Steele is a former software developer who often stares into the distance as if she’s plotting something (she’s actually quite harmless). Gabrielle writes epic fantasy and speculative shorts, pitting the poor souls she creates against dragons, gods, and the occasional squirrel. She lives in Essex, UK with her husband and is a stay-at-home parent to two mischievous younglings.

  3. Gareth is a British author who dabbles in the fantasy, SciFi & dark comedy genres. Once described as 'This generation's Douglas Adams' (thanks Mum) and 'Hugely disappointing. A waste of your time and mine' (erm… thanks Dad), he is currently endeavouring to translate the products of his feverish imagination into several novel, screenplay, and graphic novel projects. His debut novel, 'Otherworld – The Heart of the Realm', is the first part of a fantasy trilogy, coming to all good book retailers if it ever gets picked up. You should follow him on Twitter – you won't not be disappointed.

  4. George has written widely, with work including commercial content, marketing copy, online arts publications and of course fairytales! Folklore is a great passion and George has created a full series of short story fantasy audiobooks: The Tales of Hobgob & Mulch.

  5. Gillian O’Shaughnessy is a journalist from Fremantle, Western Australia, noted more for reading stories than writing them and loves to do both. She lives for immersion in wonder, and is obsessed with forests, fungi, birds and spiders, whether on the page or in real life. In 2020, she was shortlisted for the Bath Flash Fiction Award and was a finalist in the London Independent Story Prize.

  6. Gloria Garfunkel is a psychologist and writer with a Ph.D. in Psychology and Social Relations from Harvard University. A former psychotherapist for thirty-five years, she has published many micro and flash fiction in literary journals and anthologies. She has also published a chapter on her clinical work and is finishing a memoir of her childhood as a daughter of Holocaust survivors living on a farm.

  7. Grace Palmer is a writer, published by Comma Press, Magma, Riggwelter, FlashBack Fiction, National Flash Fiction Day and Ad Hoc Fiction. She has an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University and works as a creative writing facilitator.

  8. Grove Koger is the author of When the Going Was Good: A Guide to the 99 Best Narratives of Travel, Exploration, and Adventure (Scarecrow Press, 2002) and Assistant Editor of Deus Loci: The Lawrence Durrell Journal. He has written extensively on art, history, literature, and travel, and has published fiction in such periodicals as Prometheus Dreaming, Danse Macabre, Punt Volat, The Bosphorus Review of Books, and La Piccioletta Barca.

  9. H. A. Piacentino lives in Glasgow, Scotland. Bath time with his little girl is his favourite time of day. His work is forthcoming in the FlashFlood journal.

  10. Hanne is a Swedish-British national who longs for the 95% humidity and hawker centre food of her childhood. Her stories are fed by environmental science topics, moss-covered rocks masquerading as trolls and what-if scenarios. Her words can be found in several nooks and crannies on the web. She is a member of Dahlia Books’ ‘A Brief Pause’
