Gillian O’Shaughnessy is a journalist from Fremantle, Western Australia, noted more for reading stories than writing them and loves to do both. She lives for immersion in wonder, and is obsessed with forests, fungi, birds and spiders, whether on the page or in real life. In 2020, she was shortlisted for the Bath Flash Fiction Award and was a finalist in the London Independent Story Prize.
